How the brief was metThe existing texts were paginated, indexed and encached using a custom built database. Working with Januzzi Smith, we developed an innovative DHTML user interface, allowing rapid access to a vast amount of information. Following launch in October 2000, we are working closely with the customer to build new features into the site such as Messageboards and Ecommerce. Rainsforth Our response: Sample pages were produced to complement a written proposal which explained in detail how each of the above objectives would be met. On approval of these visuals a dummy site was provided which the client could navigate to get a better feel for how the final site would work. This was complemented by a more detailed Functional and Technical Specification. The site was given an initial soft-launch in early March 2000 with key fishing destinations and work is ongoing building additional fishing destinations into the system. Back-end edit systems have been provided using PanEris developed Java Servlets (see: Melati) which enable the client to maintain and update information on the site while simultaneously mailing selected information (ie: latest fishing reports) to registered users. |

How the brief was metAnalysis of an existing Windows-based package, the creation of a generic order tracking system and communicating with AirFlow Design using the Paneris Messageboards before meeting with the end client enabled a minimum of face to face contact. This was our first whole site to be constructed using our own DataDictionary System through Java Servlets and Webmacro templates on top of postgres/Linux. Both AirFlow Design and the client were delighted with this leading-edge application and further enhancements are planned for 2000. |

How the brief was metMike Cunningham built an excellent design based on photos of the museum's aircraft, and dispensing with their current designed material. Tim Joyce then built and implemented the site. The site was completed in a rushed timescale of 2 weeks, and hit budget (£2200) exactly. We are already recieving favourable comments (one day after launch): "An excellent website, very helpful and welcome addition to the other Corps webs." How the brief was metThe site is the largest online ski accomodation booking site in the world. It offers customers a range of services from search and booking to bulletin boards and newsletter subscription; and it provides the company with a turnkey solution encompassing content management, customer tracking, call management and e-commerce. Working to a tight deadline of 9 weeks, 4 Paneris developers worked closely with APR and Iglu.com to create the system for a fixed price in seven weeks. The middleware is all written in Perl, and uses a Template technology developed by us with this project in mind. The site is hosted on NT. Iglu.com was delivered 3 days early and has received rave reviews on Sky News and in the Financial Times. How the brief was metPaneris members built a simple and effective interface to Bloomsbury's database of books, and provided hardware and software to allow the data to be entered. The site includes competitions, sneak previews, and other interactive mechanism that allow Bloomsbury to build a valuable mailing list. On launch, the site received a number of awards, including "Yell: choice of the week". The middleware is all written in Perl, which allowed Bloomsbury to easily migrate from Unix to NT when they needed to. At the request of the client, the project management page is not currently available to the public. |
